I was born in Volos Greece in 1960.
I am a graduate of the Department of Political Sciences of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece and the Department of Pedagogical Sciences of the University of Paris 8, France.
My master's thesis is about dyslexia and the difficulties it can cause in establishing the pedagogical relationship between a teacher and a dyslexic student.
Why I became Davis Facilitator...
I am not dyslexic, and my relationships with teachers and with texts throughout my school and university life have been very good.
According to Jean Houssaye*, I had invested in "knowledge." I still do. I firmly believe that man must know, that is, learn, and improve, throughout his life. Knowledge must be widespread, offered to all, especially children. Of course, when I was a student I have never thought of becoming a teacher. However, while studying at the University, during the first phase of my academic studies, I taught private French lessons. At that time I did not expect that I would become a special educator, but I had an experience that accompanied me throughout my life: my relationship with children.
What has been impressed upon me, over thirty years have passed now, is that every child can learn and is worthwhile. This "relationship" lasted eight years.
Along the way, I changed my professional orientation. But after several years I realized that I was not happy with the object I had chosen. I felt an urgent need to redefine my professional life, to give it the "meaning" that I had lost.
What led me back into education again was and remains my primary desire to teach (and learn from) children, especially those with learning difficulties. So I resumed my studies – learning never ends… – specialized in dyslexia, autism… And I keep learning...

"Now that I have the orientation point I can and do read from the dictionary. Before, even if I tried, I couldn't understand what I was reading"

"When you know what is happening to you, you are not panicked by a disorientation. Many of these concepts are small lights, small discoveries, that give me the explanations and fill in some gaps for a more complete understanding, they are "aha!" moments. I managed not to be afraid of these concepts, and to be able to analyze the situations, which created anxiety for me and that did not help me to survive. I'm so thankful I did the program because it's like the beauty of life is coming back! The Davis program helps me see things more clearly and simply, so I breathe, I don't stress!"
Christina (27 years old) Davis Concepts for Life Program
"I spent my whole life in anxiety, thinking I had a problem with my memory and reading anything was a challenge. I had difficulty communicating with others both professionally and personally. After completing the Davis program I was able to reduce my anxiety to normal levels, I am much more optimistic, I have more confidence and finally I can read any book with pleasure, but also remember what I read, since now I can I stay oriented, whenever necessary. Now I can say that dyslexia is a gift, since I can use my virtual thinking to find solutions to problems when others struggle."

"We are very lucky to have met Mrs. Theano on our way! This excellent educator, with tenderness, love, empathy and the application of the Davis method, tried to untangle the tangle of the mind of our son Alexandros, who is autistic. And he did it with great success. At her place, Alexander always had a great time, as the lesson was combined with play and construction. Through the lessons he learned first of all to distinguish himself (the ego) in relation to others and he got to know and understand basic concepts in relation to how the world works and how social relationships are built. He grasped the concept of change and learned to manage each new change with less stress. He was able to better express his needs and feelings and understand the feelings of others. Finally, with the use of sounds and balance exercises, his degree of concentration improved significantly. In every small achievement of Alexander, there was no lack of reward from Mrs. Theanos, who gave him small cars, in which our son has a great weakness. The result of the successful application of the Davis method to Alexander is reflected in his daily life which has become very functional and almost works autonomously. In addition, he attends high school classes with considerable concentration and meets the school's requirements to a satisfactory degree. Mrs. Theano, you are admirable. Good luck on the difficult path you have chosen, that of educating children with special needs. We are sure that whatever you offer as a seed to these children will grow and grow in them!"

“With this program, I realized that when I have to deal with something I've never done before, my imagination exaggerates things...then I'm disoriented. When I orient my self and start doing it, I find that it's actually not as difficult as I imagined. The energy regulator has made a big impression on me and I use it a lot... It helps me to be aware of my emotional state, in terms of my nerves and how easily I can fight. My relationships with my own people have changed since they can understand/excuse some of my "weird behaviors". I'm so glad I have ADHD, I'm thankful for it and I use my virtual thinking to come up with solutions to problems. It's an awesome tool!!! I've been liberated since finding out I have a split…I know I'm not crazy!”
