How Davis® Mastery for Dyslexia works
Based on the insights and strategies that enabled Ron Davis, a severely dyslexic individual, to overcome his own reading difficulties at the age of 38, the Davis® Mastery for Dyslexia program is a transformational learning experience that embraces the unique and wonderful ways of thinking and perceiving experienced by people with Dyslexia. It then uses those perceptual strengths to overcome the challenges caused by that creative way of thinking.
There are three key aspects to overcoming the challenges of Dyslexia:
- Understanding the dyslexic thinking and learning style
- Acquiring the ability to self-regulate and turn off the disorientation that causes the symptoms of dyslexia: loss of focus, mistakes, uncertainty, losing your place on the page, difficulties with comprehension
- Mastery of abstract symbols and words that cause the disorientation in the first place
When you address these aspects, you address the cause of Dyslexia. Eliminate the cause and the symptoms will disappear.

Our signature clay-based approach provides an engaging, multisensory experience to permanently eliminate disorientation triggers and master reading fundamentals like letters, word meanings, sequencing, and comprehension. Together with the perceptual tools, this process reduces confusion, ensuring lasting success in reading, handwriting, and spelling.

Program format and timeframe
The program typically spans 30 hours over five days, with up to 6 hours of customized support after the program. Programs are provided one-to-one and are tailored to suit each individual client. If an in-person program is not feasible, on-line options may be available.

Initial Assessment

At or following the Initial Assessment, your facilitator will:

Book a program
If you and your facilitator feel that Davis is a good fit, at this point, you can book a program.

Program delivery
Your Davis program is delivered one-to-one by an expert facilitator. This can be done in person or online.
Davis Mastery for Dyslexia programs typically take around 30 hours spread across 5 days.

Program follow up
- Program follow up work as needed
All program packages provide you with:
- Training of a support person
- Telephone and email support post-program
- Access to follow up review sessions (in person or online)
