Marieke Haak is an extraordinarily gifted educator and therapist. As the Superintendent of Rosslyn Academy (an American-curriculum, international school of 700 students in Nairobi), I had the opportunity to see, firsthand, the life-changing impact that Marieke had on our students and their families. Marieke blends decades of international experience, with cutting-edge educational theory, and a deep reservoir of compassion to create growth plans for individual students that produce real and positive change. I speak for hundreds of families whose lives have been changed through Marieke's work with their children.

My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of 9 years old and she had been struggling with writing and reading for most of her primary school years. Rosslyn Academy referred my daughter to Mrs. Haak when she started to see letters “dancing” and Mrs. Haak has been a blessing in our lives. My daughter went from not wanting to read a book to now reading at least 10 books per month! Her writing skills improved a lot since she started her sessions with Mrs. Haak. Last year, my daughter was invited to give a speech in front of government officials, school officials, and other students with dyslexia. She prepared her own speech and presented in front of a large audience. This would not have been possible without the help of Mrs. Haak.

Marieke has been invaluable to our family with her insight, compassion, and dedicated teaching. When our daughter struggled with reading and writing in 2nd grade, Marieke patiently assessed her challenges and unlocked her potential. Using the Davis method, she equipped our daughter with skills to finally be successful with the alphabet, reading, and writing. This pivotal moment significantly brightened her future, leading her to become a successful student and reader. One of the greatest impressions made by Marieke was teaching our daughter that she had the ability to learn and she had gifts she now calls her superpowers.
