Mindie is a graduate of Brigham Young University. She is mother of 12 (six of her own and six bonus kids). She has a tenured history of working with neurodiverse individuals including over 12 years of experience homeschooling her own neurodiverse children and more than two decades teaching within the neurodiverse community in both group and individual settings.
Mindie is a Davis Facilitator located in South Jordan, Utah. She was drawn to the Davis Methods because of the life tools it gives the individual, allowing them to take their struggles and turn them into superpowers.
Mindie and her children received these programs and she saw how they enhanced her life, and the lives of her children. Now as a facilitator she gets to see these programs change and enhance the lives of others.
Mindie is actively licensed to deliver Davis programs focused in Dyslexia (reading correction, memory, comprehension…), Dyscalculia (Math [general math, algebra, geometry…]), ADD (attention, social skills, life concepts…), and is certified in Davis Learning Strategies (DLS).
She is currently working with clients in person and remotely and has the ability to travel when needed.
Mindie is also certified in the Integrated Processing Technique, an emotional release and grounding technique. This allows her to help her clients additionally work through any self-esteem and emotional distress challenges stemming from their various neurodiverse life experiences to support and enhance the outcome of the Davis programs.

I have sent two of my sons to Mindie Nielson for dyslexia.
Our first son was 8 when he went through the program. He couldn't read very well, maybe at a 1st grade level. Most of the time he made up what he thought the book said and got frustrated very easily. He found being on point fascinating and loved using it for all of his activities, reading, wrestling, church, etc.
He loved doing letters and trigger words with clay.
At the end of the week, he was a lot more confident, calm and excited to read!!
He loved working with Mindie. She did such a great job going at his pace. She was a wonderful model of compassion with a standard of working hard and not letting excuses stop you as a client.
We saw such great changes in our 8-year-old, we sent our 13-yr old 6 months later.
He could read fairly well but had a hard time remembering what he read and writing legibly.
He was hesitant at first because he had had an IEP for several years and didn't feel like any of "these programs" he had been put in helped him.
After the first day he came home so excited. " I can feel my brain working faster" he said.
He worked very hard and did great in the program. His handwriting changed so much from the beginning of the week to the end I didn't recognize it as his!
His memory and recall were amazing, and he loved showing me how he used “picture-at-punctuation”.
Mindie did such a great job with him. She gave him space to feel what he needed and gently nudged him forward. I am so grateful we have found this program and would 100% recommend working with Mindie. She has a gift of reaching these kids and helping them discover their strength.
