With a background in teaching, tutoring and home education, Pauline has a wealth of experience in supporting individuals with their learning, and encouraging them to discover their unique strengths. She has enjoyed working with children in schools, tutoring teenagers and adults, and has gained much fulfilment in seeing her own children learn and grow in a diverse and welcoming home education community.
Her interest in dyslexia began as a teacher, but was motivated further from a desire to understand and support neurodivergent individuals in her own family. Experiencing the differences between her own thinking and communication style and theirs, and seeing the struggles and emotional impact of dyslexia on two of her children, led her to train in dyslexia support. Through continued personal interest, she eventually discovered Davis methods, and saw first hand just how truly effective the approach was. And, how it celebrated strengths as well as addressing challenges. She found the impact from learning in tune with a person’s own innate thinking style refreshing, prompting her decision to become a Davis facilitator.
Pauline loves the gentle, affirming approach of Davis methods, and the way the client has ownership of the process and is empowered to regain confidence in their ability to achieve their goals. Her aim is always to help individuals harness their innate talents and learning styles effectively, enabling them to achieve both educational and life skills objectives.

"Over the years, Pauline has helped me a lot with advice for structuring lessons, sourcing content and literature, hosting lessons for groups of children and most recently doing an intensive specialised dyslexia helping course with my youngest child, which was amazing, and not only helped my son to be confident to sit his English GCSE this summer, but also helped me to understand my own dyslexia learning strengths." Pauline is a gifted teacher with oodles of patience and a knack of teaching in a way that the child ‘gets it’. Pauline does this with ease, dealing with each child’s learning style and capability in a way where they feel empowered and enthused and wanting to learn more." (E.L. - parent)
