Meriel Chehab has been a fully certified Davis facilitator since 2016. She is also a translator/Interpreter (English/French) and a fully qualified English teacher currently working in France. She is a certified examiner for the University of Cambridge English exams (written/speaking).
After graduating from the University of Glasgow with a first-class degree in Modern languages and Education, she began looking for opportunities to share her passion for languages and started work as a teacher at the French Naval Academy in Brest (France) training young officers to prepare them for work in the French navy. Since then, she has taught in various regions in France, in a bilingual school in Dakar (Senegal) and in England.
She also began training to become a translator/Interpreter and has translated books, documents and recently the texts for a travelling exhibition which was open to the public in Brest, Dresden and Coventry. She also translates for Davis training sessions and greatly enjoys helping to train new Davis facilitators.
Meriel is also a mother of four and it was thanks to her eldest son who is Dyslexic that she came across the Davis method. She was searching for a more effective way to help him as he was struggling at school and when she learned about the Davis method, she immediately organised a program for him. She then went on to train as a facilitator as she could see the benefits of this method for him and for many of her students.
Passionate about languages and teaching, she is always looking for new ways to help people achieve their language goals. She has been on many training courses to expand her knowledge in this field.
In her free time, Meriel loves hill climbing, travelling, reading, spending time with her family and cats and is a big fan of Music. She plays the piano and flute and loves to sing.
