J'Non found Davis when looking for answers to her daughter's struggles with reading, spelling, and math. Reading The Gift of Dyslexia by Ronald Davis helped her finally understand how her daughter's mind worked, but she still had many more questions! Seeing the positive changes in her daughter’s reading ability, so quickly, convinced her that the Davis tools worked. The pieces to a beautiful puzzle continued to come together through training to become a facilitator. Along the way, she began to also experience the benefits of using the Davis tools herself. For J’Non, guiding others through the process of unlocking their own mind's potential is a true joy.

"I can heartily recommend this program. My son has struggled for years with dyslexia. He was halfway through sixth grade and still only reading at a kindergarten level. He also could not remember all of his alphabet without help. After working with J’Non for one week, he now knows all of his alphabet consistently and, since keeping up with the post-program work, his reading level has progressed two grade levels! I’ve seen his confidence grow tremendously. He’s even looking up the trigger words in the dictionary by himself.
I was worried that my son, who also has attention issues, wouldn’t be able to stay focused for the thirty hours required in the program. But J’Non was very patient and understanding with him, giving him movement breaks when he needed them. I learned a lot about staying calm with Sweep-Sweep-Spell by watching J’Non. I tended to want to jump ahead, but I followed her lead, and the results for my son were amazing. Trust the process. You will be amazed too.
If J’Non and The Gift of Dyslexia program hadn’t come along, my son would still be struggling. It’s been a great blessing." -Joanna, mother of a Reading Program client
"The deep breath from the release part really helped me calm down when I started losing focus. At first, I couldn’t really read, but after the program, it just started coming to me and I could read short books. It was worth it to me to do the program and the post-program work because I want to thrive in the community. J’Non is the best teacher and she took time to give me breaks when I was tired. We had fun with the clay!" -Hunter, age 12
