Jamie graduated from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND with a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2002. She has provided Occupational Therapy services in the hospital and school settings. She has attended many continuing education trainings on therapeutic assessment and treatment for fine motor, visual motor/perceptual, oral motor/feeding, and sensory integration skills to assist students to be successful. She was also trained in evaluating for Autism using the ADOS-2 and was part of an educational diagnostic team for five years.
She is committed and passionate in bringing awareness to the gifts of dyslexia, rather than the difficulties. Jamie's mission is to help dyslexic learners be successful by offering the Davis Dyslexia Programs, which provide the tools needed to master basic symbols for reading, writing, and math. She also provides one-on-one tutoring services at Inspire Learning Solutions, in Clear Lake, SD.
Jamie resides near Clear Lake, SD with her family and their horses. She is married and has three children. She is a part of many community volunteer opportunities.
Jamie loves the Davis programs because they align with her past knowledge and background in Occupational Therapy. She feels that when a student learns when they are disoriented and what caused the disorientation, then they can choose to use their tools to get focused and oriented. The tools a student learns through the Davis programs lead a student to success, not only academically, but also in overall life skills. She believes in meeting a student where they are and moving them toward their self-directed goals at their pace. Facilitating a student to gain confidence is her number one goal.
Inspire Learning Solutions moved to the current office location in 2022, to provide an optimal space for learning. Students enjoy the welcoming environment intended to create a positive experience. Of course, they also enjoy the Keurig machine to make hot chocolate, candy rocket dispenser, and outdoor basketball area when movement and breaks are needed to facilitate learning.

"Our daughter participated in the reading program with Jamie. We feel Jamie did an exceptional job as a dyslexia facilitator. We saw such a large improvement in our daughter's reading ability within a short period of time. Her self-confidence improved and she enjoys reading now which we love to see. We highly recommend any of the Davis learning programs to help a child struggling with dyslexia."
"Our son feels empowered after his program week. He knows now that he can do hard and difficult things. We see progress and trends upward in facets of reading. It isn't stressful anymore. His week didn't fix dyslexia, it gave him tools. Success builds on success and he feels successful. He is finding his way and his voice."
