Emily Nielson has been a licensed Davis® facilitator since 2020. She has been an avid supporter of the Davis programs since 2009, when she first discovered them in search of something to help her own son learn to read. She researched several different programs, both public and private, before finally finding the Davis® methods. After reading Ron Davis’s book, The Gift of Dyslexia, she realized that his was the only program that described the many paradoxical symptoms her son displayed. After doing the dyslexia correction program, her son went from a non-reader, to a capable reader, to someone who read JRR Tolkien and other classics for fun. Emily saw the incredible effects of the program and ultimately decided to pursue Davis® professionally. She is also certified in Davis® Learning Strategies.
Emily grew up in a small town in northern Utah, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, and has seven children. Emily has always made teaching a part of her life, which started when she partnered with a charter school to educate her own children. After four years at the school, she took over her children’s education and taught them from home for another five years. In addition, she has had over twenty years of teaching experience between organizing and facilitating parenting classes, teaching church classes, leading youth and scout groups, and coaching community sports.
Emily loves people, and helping others learn to bloom into the best version of themselves has been one of the best experiences of her life. She loves offering the Davis® programs to those who struggle with reading, writing, dyscalculia, and/or ADHD. She finds each client to be uniquely gifted and is always inspired by the intelligence, resilience, and persistence found in each one. For Emily, the client’s needs come first. She tailors her programs to each individual and works at the client’s pace. She enjoys working with all ages, but especially loves working with teenagers. Emily understands what it’s like to love a child who’s struggling to learn, and is thrilled to offer these programs as a viable life changing educational opportunity.

Our son worked with Emily and completed both the Davis Attention Mastery Program as well as the Davis Dyslexia Correction Program. The first time I reached out to Emily she was very responsive, organized and professional. I was hesitant to spend the time and the money on these programs. All I could think was, "If this is so amazing why doesn't anyone know about it?" Once meeting her in person there was an instant connection. When you meet her you can tell how much these programs mean to her and how much she not only believes in them, but in her clients as well. We were lucky enough to work with her for a whole month. Emily instilled confidence in our son that he never had in himself and especially not in his reading skills. He is 14 years old, he was reading at a kindergarten level at the beginning of the dyslexia program, by the end of the program he was reading at a 5th grade level.
During his last session I was brought into the room to learn some of the tools I can use to continue to work with Owen at home. Emily had him read for me and my eyes welled up with tears. He WAS reading!! Emily's calm, caring, compassionate energy and never ending patience is invaluable. She was also very good at gauging him, if he was tired or needed a break, she really followed his lead, but stayed on track. I can see now why she believes in these programs so much. They 100% work. It is incredible and so is she. We are fortunate enough to have gained a lifelong friendship out of it too. I highly recommend The Davis Method and Emily Nielson @ Bloom Learning Solutions.

The Davis program and Emily Nielson with Bloom Learning Solutions was an answer to our prayers! We live in Idaho and found Emily and the Davis program so valuable we traveled to Utah and spent an entire week working and learning with Emily. My son has struggled with reading and this program has helped him so much. He and I both learned tools that will help him throughout his life. Emily is warm, welcoming and very good at what she does. I would highly recommend Emily!

We met Emily and learned about the Davis method at a critical point when I wasn’t sure where to turn. Ephraim has a visual processing disorder, and although it is not textbook dyslexia, it causes problems with his reading, and I was looking for solutions. In Texas, he was tested for and eligible for the dyslexia program at the junior high, but when we moved to Utah, I was told the schools don’t offer any kind of dyslexia support here. He was in 7th grade and struggling with reading, and I was at a loss. Emily told me about the Davis method she was learning and asked if Ephraim would be her first client. I gratefully said yes! Ephraim took a week off of school for the intense program. He really leaned into it and enjoyed the activities. One thing he liked was the creativity of forming letters with clay. After completing the program, he felt much more confident. He read his first long chapter book: Harry Potter. He also did so well in English the next year that his teacher recommended him for Honors English. I wouldn’t say he necessarily became a big reader after that, but he is doing well in school, and it feels like the Davis method program was a critical piece that got him back on track.

I am so grateful that I reached out to Emily for assistance with our boys and the concerns about their reading. After many years of a reading program they had been in at their school to assist with their reading it was only leaving our boys more frustrated and not feeling very confident with their reading or school work period. Just one week working with Emily their reading grade level went up 2-3 grade levels and so did their confidence. I wish I knew about this program sooner! Everyone learns differently and that’s ok!
Thank you to the Davis program and Awesome Emily!!

Emily is very nice and I learned a lot! My favorite part of the program was making words with clay and tossing the koosh balls! I still start my reading and school work by doing this and it helps me a lot to get on point and stay focused! I am thankful for the help she gave me.
