I've always loved helping others learn. Before becoming a teacher, I was the go to person to help people figure things out. 10 years after graduating high school, I went to college to pursue a teaching degree. I taught in the public system for 8 1/2 years before realizing that the public system was in decline and I wanted something that promised more success. I decided to take a chance and started my own homeschool. It was actually one of my students who led me to Davis. He struggled to grasp most concepts, but some days he understood everything we attempted. He was a conundrum. Because of my special education training, I suspected dyslexia, but I knew it was more. During an online search, I stumbled on Davis. He had 35 of the 37 markers of dyslexia. I had to find out more, so I ordered the book. It described my student to the T, so off to California I went. I finished my training and haven't looked back.

"Your work makes the world a better place for people!"~CD
"Thank you for all that you have done to help her get to this point. Thinking back to day one until now...what a journey. Thank you for everything...your patience, compassion, and the way you care so very much!" ~NL
"I just want to say thank you again for everything. You are truly an angel and have blessed us with such and amazing gift for our son. J's brother asked him what dyslexia was. For the first time ever, I heard him tell his brother that it was his gift. Usually he tells me how much he hates his brain. Pray that God blesses your work because it is truly a game changer. His most recent star test scores jumped from a 2.3 to a 4.2, so that is good news." ~AS
"Today was our first official school day of the year. She had complete ownership of this process. Thank you for all the new tools!"~LH
