My Story – Cindy Henrico

When a person understands how they learn, everything changes.

I have always believed that every person is capable — not in spite of their challenges, but because of the way they think.

My journey into this work began with a deep desire to truly understand learners who experience the world differently — those who are often labelled, misunderstood, or made to feel that they are “not enough.” What I discovered is that these individuals are often incredibly perceptive, creative, and intelligent — they simply need the right tools to bring their abilities into focus.

I am a licensed facilitator in Dyslexia Correction, Attention Mastery (ADHD), and Math Mastery (Dyscalculia), working with children, teens, and adults to help them gain control over their learning. My work is grounded in the Davis® Method, where the individual is always at cause — meaning we don’t “fix” people, we empower them to understand and direct their own thinking, perception, and attention.

Through orientation work and hands-on concept mastery, I guide learners to a place of clarity and stability. This is often the first time they experience reading, focusing, or understanding without confusion. With this comes something even more important — confidence, self-trust, and a sense of calm.

I am currently completing my Autism Facilitator training through Nurturing the Seeds of Genius, which is deepening my ability to support neurodiverse learners in a way that honours predictability, sensory integration, and the unique way autistic individuals process the world. My approach is structured, gentle, and consistent — creating an environment where learning feels safe and achievable.

Alongside my facilitation work, I teach in an autism-focused preschool environment, where I work daily with young learners through play-based, sensory-rich activities. This experience has shaped my ability to meet each learner exactly where they are, adapting my approach to suit their needs while maintaining clear structure and direction.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple truth:
Neurodiversity is not the enemy — the lack of knowledge and understanding is.

In every session, my intention is to replace confusion with understanding, and frustration with possibility — so that each person can experience what it truly feels like to succeed.

Because when understanding replaces confusion, everything begins to shift.
