About Alba

I am passionate about helping people recognise their own strength and I find the Davis Method is the most direct, creative and effective way to deal with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADHD, dyscalculia.

The passion to understand the human mind has accompanied me since very young age and through life, so I spent most of my youth and adult years researching and accumulating experience to find answers to my many questions, often feeling trapped in an eternal “transformation lab”, a place where, for every question answered, two more popped up.

​

I have come across the Davis method in my search to help one of my children and a new world opened to me. I found a core point where many theories become practical experiences which bring effective solutions.

​

With an art background, as I did fine art studies in Italy, creativity takes an important role in whatever I engage in. One more reason why I find the Davis methods so fascinating.

During my time working as a teacher, I have often seen a reflection of the dyslexic talent in students’ art work, a striking originality, misguidedly seen as mistakes, even in creative environments, especially when reproducing real subjects from real life.

Struggling learners, usually visual thinkers, are penalised by most educational systems which results a paralysing experience in too many cases. Through the Davis method they find the way to becoming a new self, learning difficulties become a memory and the inner talents are the propeller for success, in school, at work, in relationships.



I have seen this in myself, while training to become a facilitator, in my neurodiverse children and in clients, who experience visible changes in a matter of weeks following intensive, highly structured programmes, filled with self-management tools, creative engagement and focussing techniques. ​



I am based in the Worth Valley not far from Haworth home of the Brönte sisters, destination of leisure and cultural voyages.
