Gígja's Success Stories

"Our 12-year-old had struggled with dyslexia for years, and finding the right support has always been challenging. Since starting the Davis program with Gígja, we’ve seen a remarkable transformation. The program’s focus on his strengths rather than his difficulties has given him new confidence in his abilities. The creative and personalized approach has improved his reading and writing skills and boosted his overall self-esteem. The Davis program has truly made a difference in his life." “Lukas mom”

"Before starting the Davis program with Gígja, I struggled with reading and writing for most of my life. At 58, I believed that I would never be able to read properly. The personalized approach of the Davis program and the clay sessions I attended during one year after the program were life-changing. Over the course of a year, I went from being a slow reader to reading and writing with confidence. The hands-on, creative methods used in the program made learning enjoyable and accessible. I am incredibly grateful for the support and the new skills I’ve gained. The Davis program has opened up a world of possibilities for me, and I feel empowered in ways I never thought possible. "Valentina"

At the age of 43, I struggled with low self-esteem from a tough school experience. The Davis method, led by Gígja, was transformative. It helped me understand and overcome my challenges using a strengths-based approach. Gígja’s support and the Davis techniques boosted my confidence and skills, leading to a positive attitude towards learning and a renewed sense of self-worth. I’m truly grateful for the growth I’ve achieved through this program." “Christian”

At 24, I had lived with dyslexia my whole life, and it deeply affected me. Reading was always tough—words blurred, sentences were confusing, and expressing myself was frustrating.
School was so stressful. While others handled assignments easily, I struggled, often being mistaken for lazy. I developed coping mechanisms, but by 24, I was exhausted, with low self-esteem, and feeling trapped by my limitations.
Then I found the Davis Dyslexia Program, which offered a new way to view dyslexia—not as a disability but as a different way of thinking. It taught me techniques to manage my reading difficulties and introduced "trigger words" to help me understand challenging words.

The biggest change was in how I saw myself. The program helped me see dyslexia as a unique strength, not a flaw. My self-doubt faded, and I became more confident.
Thanks to the Davis Program, I now feel capable and confident. Dyslexia is just one part of who I am. "Maria"

I'm 65 years old and spent my life as a fisherman. I quit school at ten because dyslexia made reading and writing impossible. My teachers thought I was lazy, so I turned to the sea, where I didn't need words.

For years, I relied on my hands and instincts, but not being able to read or write always bothered me. Simple tasks like reading signs or writing notes were tough, and I often needed help.

Then I heard about the Davis Dyslexia Program from a friend. I wasn't sure it would help at my age, but I decided to try it. With Gígja's help, I learned to see dyslexia differently—not as a problem but as a different way of thinking. She taught me how to manage the confusion that made reading hard and introduced me to "trigger words" that used to trip me up. By creating mental images for these words, I started to overcome my reading difficulties.
The change was incredible. I could read a sentence for the first time without getting lost, and I even started writing short notes. But the biggest change was how I saw myself. I no longer let my struggles define me. Instead, I felt proud of how far I'd come, even at 65.
The Davis Program didn't just improve my reading and writing—it changed my life. "Kristofer"
