Kim is a dedicated and passionate Davis Facilitator who discovered 'The Gift of Dyslexia' in 2018, when her daughter was diagnosed with moderate to severe dyslexia. Wanting to support her daughter, she promptly embarked on her Davis journey, which, in her own words, “made everything make sense!”
Prior to discovering Davis, Kim worked as a primary school teacher. Her journey into teaching was influenced through working with young offenders and individuals with mental health challenges. Aware of the detrimental impact that learning difficulties can result in, she entered the profession motivated and determined to make a positive difference to a child’s life. During her career, she spent two years working with children who had additional support needs and has a particular interest in autism given this valuable experience.
Trained in supporting individuals with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, ADHD and autism, Davis has enabled Kim to incorporate her two passions, that of helping people and travelling. Having lived part of her life in Australia, she is happy to travel to most countries to deliver Davis and currently works between Scotland and Spain.
As well as a dedicated Davis advocate, Kim runs 'Concepts For Learning', a Davis practice that offers client-centred solutions for dyslexia and other neurodivergent conditions. She is also trained in Feuerstein methods and Investment in Excellence.
Deeply grateful for discovering Davis and the positive impact it has had on countless lives, Kim is committed to raising awareness and engages with schools, dyslexia groups and government bodies to ensure greater support and understanding for those with learning differences.

The Gift of Dyslexia has completely changed our daughter's life. Reading was such a stressful activity we gave up. After completing the reading and math programs she is a different child. She enjoys school, actively reads without prompting. She doesn't need additional support, aids or devices and she is working above her grade level.
