Rahma is the first licensed Davis® Facilitator in Tanzania, and a passionate advocate for inclusive education across East Africa. Her journey began in the classroom, where she spent over six years as a dedicated schoolteacher. While working with learners of all abilities, she encountered many bright children who struggled in traditional academic settings—a discovery that led her to The Gift of Dyslexia by Ronald D. Davis. The book resonated so deeply that it sparked a transformative shift in her career.
Inspired by the Davis philosophy, Rahma trained as a Facilitator and took the bold step of translating The Gift of Dyslexia into Swahili, making its empowering message accessible to Tanzanian families. Today, she offers Davis programs in both English and Swahili, working with children and adults to unlock their natural learning abilities in reading, attention, math, and coordination.
Rahma’s work is rooted in empathy, creativity, and a belief in each person’s potential. Through her programs, she helps individuals reframe their learning differences as strengths, and builds bridges of understanding between students, families, and schools. She is particularly passionate about raising awareness around dyslexia, ADHD, and autism in Tanzania—conditions often misunderstood or overlooked—and uses education to challenge stigma and promote acceptance.
As a trailblazer in the Davis community, Rahma continues to expand access to neurodiversity-friendly tools and conversations. Her work is not just a profession—it’s a mission to ensure every learner feels seen, supported, and empowered.
