Cinda spent years going into homes assisting parents with the behavioral issues of their young children or troubled teens. Often she found that these same children struggled with reading, writing, and math. Her desire to help them, led her to pursue a degree in Elementary Education specializing in reading, writing, and math learning strategies.

As an elementary school teacher, she had students that had difficulty mastering reading, writing, or math; following instructions; or staying focused\u2014even though they were extremely bright and gifted. The learning strategies she learned in her college courses were not working for them.

In her quest to find answers, Cinda read the book, \u201cThe Gift of Dyslexia,\u201d which explained why these children were struggling and gave a solution. She started the process of becoming a licensed Davis Facilitator. Since she was already in a master\u2019s program that specialized in reading and math techniques for visual learners, her education department chair allowed her to use the Davis Methods in her fieldwork. In 2009, instead of returning to the classroom after receiving her master\u2019s degree, she became a full time Davis Program provider.

Cinda has helped countless children and adults of all ages overcome their difficulties with reading, writing, spelling, math, ADHD, and autism. She has witnessed significant improvement in students\u2019 reading and math using the Davis techniques. Struggling readers improved two or more grade levels in a week, struggling math students gained a greater understanding of math concepts and the ability to solve math problems, and the easily distracted students had the tools to stay focused.

Cinda has also been contracted to work with underprivileged students struggling with reading and math in classrooms in both the US and Africa. Update: My son participated in the Davis Dyslexia Correction\u00ae Program about 5 years ago when he was in 7th grade. He is now doing wonderfully and just graduated from high school.
