Melanie is the Director of Davis Autism International and an Executive of Davis International. She is a passionate advocate for empowering neurodivergent individuals to thrive and create meaningful change towards the life they have always wanted.
Her extensive background as an international educator is complemented by her current roles as Davis Methods Trainer, Workshop Presenter, and Facilitator. She oversees and delivers Davis Methods workshops and training to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills of the transformational Davis Methods.
Throughout her many years classroom teaching, Melanie recognized the limitations of traditional teaching methods for neurodivergent people. She saw many bright but struggling individuals slipping through the cracks of the education system, but she had no tools in her teaching toolkit to provide the support they needed.
This inspired her to find an approach that truly understands neurodiversity, and that leverages the strengths of the neurodivergent thinking style to empower individuals to unlock their learning and potential.
Her journey led her to the transformative Davis programs, and she has never looked back! For over 15 years, Melanie has been working successfully with people of all ages to help them unlock their gifts and capabilities and overcome their challenges through the Davis Autism, Attention, Dyslexia and Math programs.
“Understanding the root cause of neurodivergent challenges and strengths, as well as being trained to provide high-quality, effective programs has been a game changer for being able to help individuals create real and lasting change for themselves. Seeing clients finish a program with a huge smile and a new understanding of themselves and the world brings me so much joy!” – Melanie Curry

Through the Davis program I completed with Melanie, I have a stronger sense of who I am. I have a stronger framework to be in. I feel like I have got more mana, more presence. I am much calmer, happier and more settled.
I also see how to order my life – belongings, decisions, priorities, people, work, fun. I have simply let go of certain things and started doing other things I love.
I can now take responsibility for things when they don’t go well – instead of giving excuses. I used to always have excuses ready, but now I can just take responsibility and own it, and it's fine.
Life is simple, easy and fun!

When I think about the feelings I have about the Davis Autism Approach program with Melanie, it brings feelings of joy and warmth.
Isaac was respected and understood, which such a huge gift. It is such an important thing for him to feel understood by others. Isaac had a wonderful, positive rapport with Melanie and I knew he trusted Melanie, and for Isaac to trust someone else was quite rare.
One of the biggest things throughout the Davis program was that Isaac didn’t have be somebody else. He didn’t have to learn any social rules or perform in a certain way.
The Davis Autism Approach gave us a shared language to work through real life situations together. This shared language changed our daily lives. Isaac became able to stay more relaxed, and gained an understanding of the world so that he no longer became anxious or distressed.
The Davis program was a shared journey of discovery. I got to ‘walk’ on this journey with Isaac, discovering the way his mind worked, the way that he saw the world - and how AMAZING his perspective is.
One of the most precious times of our lives was walking together through the Davis Autism Approach program with Isaac and Melanie.

Melanie, your presenting style was beautiful. Your explanations were concise. I have learnt more from you than any other presenter. It was one of the best workshops I have ever been on – and I’ve been on lots! I am looking forward to the next one.

The changes I have observed in Simon over the last year are profound.
The move toward independence, and the willingness to engage in independent and autonomous thought has really helped Simon to develop his own agency - particularly within his relationship with his mum.
The Davis program has enabled Simon to identify a ‘self’ within him that has really opened up our work together and given him opportunities to explore things from his own perspective that he was not willing to pursue previously.
The ruminative and ‘stuck’ narratives that he has been unwilling to shift are now moving, and he is driving that movement.
His growth is incredibly gratifying to see, and it enables our work together to be very purposeful and facilitate change more rapidly.
I feel Simon is ready for most challenges life sets for him, and I enjoy my therapy sessions with him, where he now comes prepared with a list of what he wants to discuss and unpack/process.
