About Martha

Martha understands the struggle of loving to learn but feeling out of place in school. Diagnosed with dyslexia in high school, she found herself creating coping strategies to appear as though she was learning, despite performing well enough to graduate college.
In 2004, everything changed when Martha discovered the Davis® Program and underwent her own correction program. The experience transformed her life, giving her the tools she needed to overcome dyslexia and truly learn.
Inspired by her success, Martha became a licensed Davis Facilitator to help others unlock their potential. She is passionate about showing fellow dyslexics that learning can be joyful, meaningful, and empowering. Education doesn’t have to be endured—it can be celebrated.

Martha's Success Stories

"The program, and you as the teacher, has given [my daughter] such a confidence and a desire to read and do well in academics. I think that before this training she considered herself a failure and did not want to even attempt anything to do with reading or academics. I cannot tell you of the transformation in her. She is reading on her own without my prompting. She is writing things down now. She never wrote anything down. She only gave information orally." - Mother of Learning Connections client

I just wanted to share with you that last night [my daughter] laid on her bed and READ A BOOK JUST FOR FUN!!!!!!!! Not because she had to read a certain number of minutes for school -- just because that is what she decided to do with her free time. And it was a 3rd grade level chapter book. I still cry just thinking about it. She loves to be read to so much because she enjoys stories. I feel like a whole world has opened up for her." - Mother of Learning Connections client

"It seems to me that [my daughter] is slightly less dyspraxic and is definitely more willing to pick up a pen or pencil and just write something down than previously. And, when she writes, she does better. She no longer cringes when I ask her to add something to the grocery list hanging on the refrigerator and she no longer resorts to abbreviations and symbols. She just writes down whatever the item is, from "oatmeal" (spelled correctly) to "toilet paper" (not quite)." - Mother of Learning Connections client
