About Kelley

Kelley has been a licensed Davis® facilitator since 2012. Since then she has worked with clients ranging in age from 4 to 76 years old and has helped clients overcome difficulties related to dyslexia, attention deficit disorder (ADHD), auditory processing disorder, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, balance, coordination, handwriting, math, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), life skills…and the list goes on.

Kelley discovered the Davis® programs in 2003 while teaching for an online charter school. At the request of the parent of a student, Kelley read the book The Gift of Dyslexia and was amazed at how well the book described not only her student’s but her own children’s learning difficulties. Since that time, the Davis programs have become a way of life in her household, culminating with her licensure as a Davis Facilitator in 2012, to work with clients struggling in reading, attention, math or other academic or social areas.

In 2017, Kelley added her licensing to provide programs for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Kelley brings a vast array of experience to her practice as a Davis® Facilitator. She has a BS in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Idaho and a Masters of Education, emphasis Literacy, from Eastern Oregon University.

As a certified Elementary and Special Education teacher, Kelley has worked with students of all ages and ability levels in multiple venues from traditional, international, remedial, homeschool, and virtual classrooms. As a parent of children identified with dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, dyspraxia, speech/ language disorders, and Asperger syndrome, Kelley understands the overwhelming pressure of trying to meet a child’s varying educational and emotional needs within the school system.

Kelley uses this experience as both a parent and an educator to help families and schools create the best possible accommodations and environment for students. She empowers parents and clients with skills to advocate for their best needs.

Kelley is excited to help clients become confident, accurate life-long learners!

Kelley's Success Stories

Kelley Phipps has an impressive amount of clinical experience and education. When I began researching what was required for being a Davis Facilitator and looked at her educational background I knew I wanted to know more. When I approached her about working with our family she was welcoming, friendly and very encouraging. Our experience was extremely positive and I am thankful for all she has done to help my children to understand better how their minds work and how they learn. We have had four children participate in the Davis Program with Kelley. Many people have told me they would not have known that my children have ADHD or dyslexia. They are continuing to progress and doing well. I appreciate the dedication she has to helping individuals learn how to use the gifts they have so they can learn, grown and thrive.

My husband and I retained Kelley’s professional services for our elementary-aged daughter who was struggling with academics. I am myself a past early elementary teacher with many years’ experience teaching children to read, but I was unable to find the tools to help my own daughter succeed. After spending one week with Mrs. Phipps in November 2017, my daughter came home armed with unique tools that proved successful not only in her advancing several reading levels over the next few months but also in an increased self-confidence and peace that has continued since then.

We returned to Mrs. Phipps for more training for our daughter in mathematics in October 2018. This has also proven successful for us. We have been able to incorporate the tools Mrs. Phipps taught us in various aspects of our daughter’s life, not just academics. Her ability to find the right tools to meet needs, as well as the overall belief that all kids are able to learn and be successful has changed our daughter’s academic experience and her perception of herself as well, giving us all hope for the future.

Rachel's Parents

I noticed differences in my daughter after she took the Davis Autism Approach Concepts Mastery Program with Kelley Phipps.

She is more in control of herself and emotions. She has coping techniques to use when she is getting stressed. I’ve seen her take more responsibility for herself, her school work, and her chores. She has more order in her room and appreciates having a routine.

She is more open to learning about situations that affect other people and learning how what she does can affect them.

I have always struggled with math. In high school, it almost prevented me from graduating. When I entered college, I took the same math class over and over. Then I heard about the program Kelley was teaching and spent my summer working through it with her. I am proud to say that I just received my first math test back and I obtained a 92% and I am now able to comprehend math concepts without help. This program really works! Thank you Kelley!

Hey I thought I would give you some feedback on A that I have received from various family members and friends who aren’t around very much. I’ve had numerous people tell me that they have noticed a difference in A. She’s more happy, more aware and better at anticipating others’ needs. She joins into family stuff happily and has really unplugged. She completed her college applications that she was wanting to do on largely her own steam. She has started to work a bit for our flooring business. And doesn’t play the victim/blame game half as much.

She’s also more social and willing to go out of her comfort zone more.
